Josie's Second Birthday

Josie's birthday cake made by her Dad, Shaemus!

My little friend Josie had her second birthday party yesterday. We played outside where I fell
in love with her new playhouse! I played very nicely and did NOT hit the birthday girl.

Happy Canada Day!

My first Stampede breakfast.

Come on, Daddy, let's go!

I love bouncy things!

I don't know you but I'll push you anyways.

How about this pose?

I spent Canada Day with Daddy at Fort Calgary in the morning & Prince's Island Park in the afternoon. Mommy had to work. She does that sometimes.

New Toys

Shopping is fun... for now.

I can now build all sorts of things!

Uncle Byron reads me a story.

Mommy bought me some new toys the other day. She thought I should have a work shop like Granpa's so when I'm older I can fix things, too! I love my shopping cart... I push it all around the house & always park it where it belongs!

How will our garden grow?

My first whole corn on the cob!
Uncle Byron joined us for dinner & he made me laugh the whole time!

Mommy starting the big job of getting the garden usable.

Digging holes for the seeds.

Covering the seeds with soil.

Our little garden. Now we wait!

We spent part of the weekend planting our first vegetable garden! It is small but it was still quite a bit of work. The large overgrown garden was worked on by Mom & Dad and then I stepped in to ready the soil and plant the seeds. We will watch over the next few weeks for signs of plant life & hopefully enjoy our own veggies in August.
Daddy is in Halifax tonight and will return late tomorrow night. Mommy & I will pack tomorrow for our trip to Quebec on Tuesday. Mamie turns 60 on Wednesday, June 24th, St. Jean Baptisite Day, so we will surprise her when we arrive! I can hardly wait to go in the pool with Daddy & Papie while Mommy & Mamie relax in the hot tub.

Fun at Glenmore Park

Cheese, Mommy!

I wonder if I can get her number?

Sitting is not really an option when we're at the park, Mom!

Um... I think that's my cup but you're too cute to say 'no' to!

We're a couple of hot babes!

I played with my friend Madison today at beautiful Glenmore Park. It was a sunny and warm morning... Mommy & me got some colour (oops!). It was nice & quiet until a bus load of older children showed up but that's okay because we outlasted them!
Daddy is in Montreal tonight & will be home tomorrow afternoon just in time for a Father's Day dinner with Uncle Byron. Mommy has three men to cook for... she'll be in her 'happy place'.

Summer time!

I'm not sure what to do with the slide but I do love the sprinkler part!

Mini-Charles

I like to follow my own path!

Being a gentleman with my friend Madison.

My friend Josie's Baptism.

I have been extremely busy now that warm weather has arrived in Calgary. Most of my days are spent outdoors where I take Mommy or Daddy for walks, trips to the playground or just play in the yard. Us little ones have to keep the old people active, you know!
Mommy & Daddy have been working lots but that's okay because next week we will visit Quebec for some R & R. Poutine here we come!

First Bike & Picnic

Our picnic spot in Fish Creek Park.

We set off mid-morning on our first family bike ride & picnic today. Daddy towed me & Mommy carried the pack all the way down to Fish Creek Park. It was a beautiful ride along the river with mainly flat pathways. But the few hills that we rode, Daddy beat Mommy even though he's towing me!! The leaves are finally out so everything is so green. There was a head wind going there, which made it tough on Daddy, but wnjoyed a tail wind on the way home. It took us about an hour each way. I fell asleep on our ride home & managed to fall back asleep in my crib. It was a lot of work but a simply perfect day!
