More snow!

Well, the temperature has finally risen and more snow has fallen. We went out for a walk for the first time yesterday after several days of being stuck inside the house. Mom & Dad pulled me in the luge through fluffy snow; I could not resist the fresh air and fell asleep within a few minutes.
Daddy returned to work yesterday afternoon after over a week off. Of course, now that the weather is baby-friendly, he can't enjoy it with us! There's lots of winter left, Daddy!
I helped Mommy shovel this morning... meaning I supervised from my luge. The snow banks are growing larger & Mommy fears Daddy's snowslide is only going to get steeper (he can already reach the back fence on his crazy carpet!). I walked for the first time in the snow today... my snowsuit is a wee bit constricting but overall it was fun. Mommy says thankfully I enjoy the outdoors as all the struggle to get me ready pays off!

Christmas Dinner
Helping cousin Julianne & Adam play a tune.
Helping Auntie reorganize her plastic container drawer.
Funny that the only picture of Mommy shows her drinking wine.It was a very nice evening spent at the Yip's last night. Auntie Liping made an amazing turkey dinner which I ate quite a bit of (especially the turkey, rice stuffing and yams!). It was the first visit since I began walking, so I spent most of my time exploring. I also watched Uncle carve the turkey with an electric knife, which I found very fascinating. As usual, Auntie sent us home with leftovers so Mommy doesn't have to cook for a couple days!
Christmas Morning

We all had a very nice Christmas! After sleeping until 7:00am and having my morning bottle, we started by opening our stockings. I am pretty good at unwrapping presents... all the paper was the most exciting part! I must have been a good boy this year as Santa spoiled me with great toys & clothes. I was a bit overwhelmed as I couldn't settle down for my morning nap but had a long afternoon nap before going to the Yip's for dinner.

More walking
I'm walking more & more everyday. My balance is improving as I can stop walking, squat, then stand and continue walking again. Mommy & Daddy can't get enough of it! Mommy loves the sound of my feet shuffling & sometimes gets teary thinking about how far I've come. Awe, Mom!

Walking!
Here is a snipit of me walking a few steps! Mom was finally able to catch me on camera after many attempts. It must be the fact that I am wearing my new Habs t-shirt... just for Granpa's viewing pleasure!

First Luge Ride
It has been snowing all today, so when I woke from my morning nap Mom & Dad took me out in the luge. It was my first time wearing my snow suit & riding in the luge! The snow falling on my face was a bit upsetting at first, but once we got moving it was fun. When we returned home we made a snowman & Daddy shovelled (which he'll have to do again tonight!). We're hoping the snow will stay for a few days so we can enjoy it & I can get use to being in my snow suit! LET IT SNOW!!
Visit with Auntie Patricia
'Kitchen side' of my new toy.I had a great visit with Auntie Patricia this weekend. We played lots and she made me laugh lots!
For Christmas she gave me an awesome Fisher Price playset. It makes all sorts of sounds & plays music. I love it! It's all in French so Mommy can learn with me, too. Auntie also gave me a new Habs t-shirt; I will wear it every game day!

We spent part of the day yesterday in Banff. It was grey & chilly but we enjoyed walking around the townsite. We had planned to stay for the Santa Claus parade but didn't and returned to Calgary in the afternoon. Calgary was sunny & 10 degrees!! C'est la vie.
It is currently snowing so I'm sure Mom & Dad will get me out in the luge sometime today!
