First Birthday

Let me at it!

Mmm... mushy

Just bring it closer!

That's better

Yum... what's this sugary taste?!

Mom & Dad had Uncle Byron, Auntie Liping and cousin Julianne over for a little cake for my first birthday. It was great to get my hands in there... I love mushy stuff between my fingers! Auntie fed me dinner and Uncle & Daddy smoked cigars outside (and they smelled when they came back in the house!). It was a fun afternoon! Next week I'll be having a party in Victoriaville with both sets of grandparents, Auntie Patricia and some friends. Hopefully I'll nap before that one!

Sunday

It won't go the right way! Hello pussycat!

All dressed for a fall walk in our new neighbourhood.

Beaver Dam Flats, a beautiful riverside park near our house.

Mommy says she bought the pumpkin for me, but we know the truth!

Hanging out... something we couldn't do downtown!

New home!

Boxes, boxes and more boxes!

Enjoying one last cookie before we say goodbye to our apartment.

Our new home!

Checking out the backyard.

Downtown in the north... bye, bye noise, crack addicts, rude people and tiny apartment!!

Phew! After a stressful week of packing and a weekend of moving, we are now in our new home. This past week has been just bliss... lots of room to play, new places to discover and good ol' peace and quiet. I love the new kitchen, with new cupboards to get into, and my very own room with space for all my things. We are just a few steps to the network of city pathways and, if we wanted to, could walk downtown! Not likely. Perhaps bike next summer.

Mom & Dad have been bust setting up our new house. They got a huge head start because of Baba & Granpa! Thank goodness for grandparents... who I get to see, by the way, in just two days when we travel to Quebec together... oh la vache!!

Kelowna, again!

Right out of Baba & Granpa's garden. I'll eat it as is, thank you very much!

A little too young for the wine tour, I opted to play on the grounds of Mission Hill.

In the vineyard of Mission Hill.

I can go up the stairs, next will be learning to go down... safely!
