Henri's First Smiles!

Despite all his fussiness, Henri has managed to start smiling for us. He started a couple nights ago for Mommy. But Mommy tried not too make a fuss as 2:00am is not the time to be playing! During playtime this afternoon she was able to get a few smiles from him.

We've had a couple days of nice weather so I've been outside as much as I can. Today, though, we only spent part of the morning at the park (Mommy's only respite) but I had lots of fun with some great kids.

Baby Henri decided not to sleep today and kept Mommy very busy. I'm getting used to playing by myself but Mommy feels very bad. Henri just snacked all day and fussed. I snacked, too, but did not fuss. Mommy hopes tomorrow is a better day.

We all enjoyed a week long visit with Baba & a short visit with Granpa Gus. Our weather has been just ''awful", as Mommy has taught me. Hopefully we can go to a playgroup tomorrow & escape the house!

We have all been enjoying a nice visit with Baba! Mommy appreciates all the help... especially with poor gassy Henri. The weather has been really bad so we've been housebound most days making me a wee bit high strung. Mommy looks forward to my nose clearing up so we can hit the play places again! This may be a very long winter...

I am taking more to my little brother each day and am very helpful, giving him his dou dou and touching gently while we play. Today, Daddy went back to work so it's just me, Mommy and Henri. We spent the morning at the Parent Link Centre and had lots of fun. Thank goodness for that place on these bad weather days!!

I turned three years old today!! I celebrated on the weekend with Uncle Kris, Auntie Shendah, Kieran & Aiden. Mom & Dad wonder where the time has gone.

On the road to recovery

I've gone two nights without puking so Mom & Dad are hopeful that I am on the mend. I still have some diarrhea and not quite myself, but there's a whole lot of change here I'm dealing with. Henri has put on 490g since birth, that's a whole pound in just 2 weeks! Him & Mommy still struggle with breastfeeding and Mommy is a zombie everyday from sleep deprivation. These days are tough on everyone.
