Kitchen Mishap

A little incident with the mandolin. The little pink bit on the left side is the tip of my right middle finger. At least it didn't end up in our dinner!

Cuddle Time

Both Choosing, the chipmunk, and Alex, the rabbit, needed 'surgeries' today. Alex thought all his friends needed quiet time, lining the chairs & stools along the window so they could watch the sky.

Bonne Fête Papa

Finally sewed new big brother Liam's crayon pouch. A much better job than my first one! Now, when will I make it to the post office?

Henri joins the table

We are trying Henri at the table to see if he's ready to part with the highchair. He thinks it's pretty great, especially having his own placemat, but really enjoys playing 'footsies' with Alex!

Tub time with Papa

The boys were quite excited to bath with Papa in 'Momma's' tub as they don't get to do it often. Bath time just never lasts long enough, though!

G for Greta

I was excited to make a letter block for Greta and am quite happy with it. I have some work to do on my blind stitching, though. I put some jingle bells in (well, Alex did... what a great help!) so it makes a little bit of a noise when it's shaken.

Latest sewing projects

I was very happy to hear that Rosalind, Andre and wee Liam welcomed baby girl Greta in to the world. My first thought was that I could buy girl fabric!! I really need to sew more so I can improve and buy a couple more essential items to make better (square!) items. This was my first attempt at a soft baby block. It was easier than I thought it would be but next time I'll make smaller blocks. I really enjoy sewing when I have the time and mindset to do it.

Mitford Pond

After Alex's skate we took a nice walk in the sunshine.

Alex's First Skate

Alex enjoyed his first skate yesterday at Mitford Pond here in Cochrane. The ice was soft, but he did very well, wanting to venture on his own a lot. Henri quite liked wandering around picking up snow and sticks.

Making Masks

After hitting up the craft store, we took advantage of Henri's long nap and made masks!

Little Sickies

Hopefully Henri gets over his cold quickly but he sure knows how to relax and take it easy!

Boys in Babette

Henri has a very strong fascination with Alex's underwear (what we call 'babette', slang... not sure if I spelled it right). It makes me laugh until he pulls out dirty ones from Alex's laundry hamper. How can boys three years apart wear the same size?!

My poor bruised, sore arm tonight. Two catheters in two days.

Still have mild swelling at 6pm tonight.

My glasses are still a bit snug and leaving an indent on the bridge of my nose.

Colourful Bath

Santa left Henri some Crayola bath tablets in his stocking that we tried out tonight. It was pretty fun!

Day in Banff

We spent the day in windy Banff, enjoying lunch, walking the streets and hitting the trails in the sleds. It was quite busy with tourists so we enjoyed our little walk along the Fenland loop. Mommy lucked out and found two pairs of jeans at The Gap for $60. Who knew they sold sizes larger than 1?
